This circuit hike, led by Guenter Hoernig, attracted had 25 participants, plus three dogs and took 4 hours and 15 minutes. The canines had to be helped over some scrambling sections, but were otherwise beautifully behaved. Despite extreme roughness in places, there were no mishaps. A few members picked up ticks, as is to be expected at this time of the year. Weather was generally overcast, with a few rays of sun here an there, but all-in-all just right for the hike. Several mule deer and California Bighorn Sheep were spotted. Closer to the parking lot we also came across quite a few climbers.
