Renee led eleven of us on a beautiful sunny sunday. Starting from Mahney lake we enjoyed following our 'usual' route to the southern end of the mountain, where we stopped for elevenses, surrounded by gorgeous views to the E, W and S. We then dropped part way down the east face of the ridge before climbing the more northerly (and more scrambly) second and third peaks, where we had lunch. From there it was a gentle down-hill stroll through open woodland, eventually closing the loop and retracing our path for the final couple of kilometres.
